A Bit Of Thinking

Over the past few days I have been watching clouds, and thinking....

Painting hares and thinking some more.....

Then I suddenly thought..... I have missed my blogs 1st Birthday!!!
February the 29th just slipped by and I forgot all about it.
But of course it didn't did it! Because there was no February 29th this year. I hadn't realised that I had began the blog on a leap year!
So, really it isn't 1 until another 3 years time?!.....
Oh well,I think I'll celebrate anyway....

I know everybody is dreaming of the warmer days!
So, here is a spring/summer themed giveaway. Leave me a comment, and the lucky one picked out of the hat, sometime over the weekend, will get these 3 cards illustrated by me.

  1. Although you are three years early, I think you should celebrate - espcially the fact that it is a really good blog and much appreciated by your followers!

    Best wishes

  6. Happy First Blogging Birthday! Did you deliberately choose to start on 29th Feb? Wonderful, wonderful hares, they really are special. Here's hoping more blue skies and white clouds (rather than the rainy ones coming our way today!). Happy days. Denise

  14. I miss clouds, big puffy shapeforming clouds. It's been so dark and snowy here or perfectly clear that we haven't seen them like that for quite awhile. Spring really can't come quick enough this year.
And happy birthday to your blog!
    looking forward to many more.

  27. Thanks for all the bloggy birthday wishes!

    Acorn Moon...
No the cards are no longer available in the shops, these were published a few years back now, although it only seems like the other day :)

    A bun can dance....
No, I didn't deliberately choose the 29th Feb to start my blog. I only realised the other day, when I suspected it must be coming up to a year. I should have remembered, as that is my sister's birthday. :)

    And to anyone that asked...
Yes, the hares will be going on Etsy. They have all been painted, and are waiting patiently to have the finishing touches of beads, buttons etc

  29. Those wooden hares are beautiful. Have you thought about turning out wooden, decorated coat hangers? All sorts of animals and birds spring to mind...
