Strange Happenings....

I've always been a night owl and find it hard to go to bed early. I have a habit each night of looking out of the bedroom window at the sky. I'm a moon gazer and a shooting star seeker! Regardless of the weather I always look. Late on Good Friday/early hours of Saturday morning, not sure of the exact time, the sky was spectacular, amazing light and fast moving clouds. Then even more amazing, I saw writing in the sky!!!! The darkness behind the clouds beneath the moon formed the letters 'eya' so clear as if it had been written in a fine pen. Unfortunately because the clouds were moving fast it disappeared before I had chance to get my camera.
What does it mean?
Is it message?
Could it be significant to Easter?
Is it the name of a blogger, fate wants me to link up with?
Maybe its a company that wants to offer me loads of illustration work! Yay!
With numerous amounts of hot chocolate I began to sift through Google search.
I've yet to find the blogger or the company, but I thought this was interesting...
'eya' seems to be a lyric in some hymns in latin, I think as a form of praise?
Strange!? well, this is Wiltshire after all!
Now there are little hoards of chocolate eggs lying around the house which are too tempting to pass! No sign of the Easter rabbit at 'Mells' Daffodil festival on Monday, but look, I found some friendship cats. (I bought a green one)
I am ashamed to say that I still haven't done anything for Illustration Friday and now look at the time, it is Friday all over again! Time has not been wasted though as I have been learning new computer skills regarding my website. Surely this can only be a good thing!?

Where does time disappear?

I haven't written here in over a week and time seems to have just slipped through my fingers.
I haven't managed to get on and do the things I had planned, instead I've being busy with things like my son's 13th birthday, ( I can't believe he is a teenager, scary!) jobs in the garden, having a horrid cold and sadly yesterday having to have our guinea pig put down.
Hopefully I will get around to joining in with Illustration Friday soon!?!?
I have a scarecrow to finish, which is at the moment sat by my desk. It's for our village school annual scarecrow trail. This year the theme is Cats & Dogs. We are making 'The Mousehole Cat'.
We have to put his whiskers and tail on, then make some papiermache fishes and a stargazey pie!
Should be fun!
Anyway I wish a 'Happy Easter' to anyone that happens to stumble across this blog.? Which reminds me...I must put some links on!

Watch out! There's a wind wolf outside!!

A bit of a sleep orientated weekend, what with children coming and going between friends houses for sleepovers, it concluded last night when we all decided to camp downstairs in the living room to escape any danger of old chimneys falling! The storm crept in quietly, but by 3am there was a ferocious wolf eager to get in at doors and windows. We found it a bit of an adventure, but the kids were a little disappointed when they discovered their schools were fine and open as normal this morning.
I'm shattered today from lack of sleep. Not only did the storm keep me awake, but we were pestered throughout the night by our two 7 months old cats who also found camping fun!
This week I've decided to give 'Illustration Friday' a go. The theme is 'garden' so I'll see what I can come up with?
It's still wild, wet and windy outside. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my greenhouse doesn't blow down!

Too Sunny To Be Indoors

Sunshine called me out into the garden yesterday
to smell the sweet scents of spring.
I sowed some more seeds.

These are the one's I did earlier.

Today there was a chill in the wind so I did some work in my journal. Playing around with faces, I was quite happy with this one.

The creation

Forgot to put the picture on the last entry!!
I'm just getting the hang of this uploading images, have been a bit of a techno phobe in the past, so this is big stuff for me!

Faerie Spectators

Being watched from my windowsill on Friday as I sat down at my desk to paint.
I think they must have sprinkled a little faerie dust, as I was quite pleased with
my finished creation.........
