Jasper

Silence the birds,
Let the hollyhocks bow their heads,
And the daisies close.
The scented breeze still and the sun hide behind a cloud.
For our little prince has gone.
Shadow, companion, lap sitter, king of purrs, special friend, and dearest one.
You were quite simply, perfect.
Until we meet again beautiful boy.
Play to your hearts content amid the starlight gardens.

  1. So sorry to hear this. It is so difficult to lose a beloved family member.
I particularly like the photo of him in the box and the beautiful image at the end. He obviously enjoyed a happy life with you.
    Best wishes

  2. I'm so sorry for your loss, Karen. My own little black Jack went to his next big adventure just two short months ago, and I miss him so much. Jasper clearly had a -wonderful- life with you, so I hope that when the sharp edges start to smooth down a bit, you will find comfort in that. Here's wishing you a sweet, magical week ahead to help your heart and soul.

  3. It's sad to part from these dear little ones. The leave that space they used to occupy that no-one else can fill ⚘

  6. It is heartbreaking when we lose a pet. There is no other relationship like the one we have with these precious, loving creatures that bless our lives in ways that no other living being can (well, humans...). Unfortunatly the pain we experience when they leave us is proportionate.
Just looking at them - their gaze and posture - fills you with warmth and well-being, even when you don't even know them 'personally'.
Cats have that strange ability to share enough common traits that you have the impression that they are all familiar to you, and yet each also possesses such individuality that they are unique. And of course they always are true to themselves, and us too...
    Beautiful Jasper.
