Birds

My last post's title seems rather odd now as summer most definitely woke up again. Who would have thought that we would be basking in the most glorious hot days in October.  Shorts and tee shirt weather and no need for a cardigan in the evenings.

Nights are clear and warm with windows thrown open wide and the song of the tawny owl lulls us to sleep while Jupiter shines in the starlight.
I've been busy with birds.

And my desk has been as colourful as a summer garden.

"Delicious autumn!   My very soul is wedded to it,
and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth
seeking the successive autumns."
-   George Eliot

Thank you for the quote from George Eliot. I have never read that before (as far as I can remember).

I do love your beautiful birds - we have lots of birds in the garden and you just can't get close enough to take a good look! it's very annoying as they are so jumpy, I try to stand still for a long time until they come close but they always sense I am there!

Oh how beautiful, will these birds be in your etsy shop soon? It's so funny. I had a look at your wooden birds the other day and thought, I hope Karen does a gold crest sometime as that's my favourite bird and the symbol of my blog. I should love to buy him when he goes on sale!
Thanks for sharing all your lovely visions.
