Time A Strange Thing

Time is a strange thing. Where does it go? Slips through our fingers like silken cloth.
It only seems a moment a go that it was Christmas eve? The presents were wrapped beneath the tree and there was magic on the icy night air. Then in a fleeting moment it goes...
The snow has disappeared. Green has returned and I'm sure this morning I heard the tiniest hint of spring in the birdsong?
I've been wondering what to put on here?  Searching inspirational poems or words, and how to wish you all a Happy New Year? I have one of the lurgys that are doing the rounds at the moment. A cold and cough and my mind couldn't settle on anything at all. That is, until today. I saw this video by the wonderful people at Harper Asprey Wildlife Rescue and it put a huge smile on my face. So I thought I would share it with you.
Lets help make 2011 a good year for all.

Happy New Year everyone! May it be peaceful and filled with joy! xx

  2. A wonderful video... I especially liked the little, tiny hedgehog! How sweet. And the foxes playing with the badger. We don't have hedgehogs, though I did see one once while living in Greece, they are very cute.

Abundance of creative inspiration to you in the New Year!

  6. Sorry you are not well - but I am thrilled that you found and shared this beautiful video. It brought tears to my eyes. I so loved the little fox playing catch and then wrestling about with the badgers. And the baby hedgehog - oh how sweet. I am wishing you and yours an enchanting and prosperous new year! Theresa

  8. And now I have a huge smile, too!
Oh Karen, I went through a similar thing on my blog today, couldn't seem to get it quite right or as you say, "couldn't settle on anything at all." Spoke about what was foremost in my thoughts, but I really don't think that was all that important...compared to this.
THIS - and all other agencies involved in animal rescue around the world - IS IMPORTANT.
You have wished us a very special reminder of what truly makes a good year!

Peace & Joy to you & yours!!

  10. Great video (and the first one I have ever managed to get to run smoothly!) love all those poor little souls and so happy to know they were all released into the wild again. We have a lot of badgers round here - there is a huge sett in the woods adjoing us - but haven't seen any recently during the snow hope they were lying low and trying to keep cosy!

  20. Fantastic organization! Well Done! Nothing sweeter than baby badgers and foxes...we don't have them around here so it's always a treat to see. Looks like they do some pretty special work. Happy New Year!
